Coming up on February 2nd… Learn about traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony!

Members of Hawaii Omotesenke Domonkai will be hosting a workshop on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 10:00am, Mō’ili’ili Hongwanji Mission. Experience the spirit of “ichi-go ichi-e” (the idea of treasuring each encounter) through traditional Japanese culture of tea ceremony, while enjoying delicious tea and sweets from Japan.

Instructor Ms. Akemi Sasaki along with her 5 students will briefly explain the tea ceremony rituals, demonstrate preparation of matcha and allow everyone to partake in tea and sweets made in Japan. $10.00 registration fee is required, includes authentic matcha and sweets from Japan.
