Note: In light of news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, let’s all be mindful of the guidelines for decreasing the transmission of respiratory illnesses. The State of Hawaii Department of Health list of recommended preventative actions include:
- Stay home if you start to feel ill.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
If you think your immune system is weak, it is suggested that you refrain from attending group gatherings for your own safety. There are many ways to “hear or listen” to the Dharma. KZOO radio on Saturday mornings (archived at our website), our websites, newsletters, and social media are all channels that we and the other temples of Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii use to share the Dharma.
The health and safety of our members, friends, and community is a priority for us.
